About us

Designed for Real Life
We started Cedars & Streams because we couldn't find the dresses we wanted to wear.
Dresses that felt just as natural at church as they did running errands, chasing little ones around the backyard, meeting friends for coffee, or enjoying a quiet evening with family.
We kept coming back to the same things:
- Soft, breathable cotton instead of synthetic fabrics.
- Pockets that were actually useful.
- A flattering fit that felt comfortable all day.
- And for nursing mothers, discreet access that didn't make the dress look like nursing wear.
Eventually, we stopped looking and started designing.
Cedars & Streams was built around a simple belief:
Beautiful dresses should fit real life, not the other way around.
Every detail was chosen intentionally, from the fabric to the fit, because we wanted to create dresses you'll reach for again and again. These are the kinds of dresses you donβt have to think about, but feel great in. They move with you, hold their shape, and feel right no matter what your day brings.
Why Cedars & Streams?
Psalm 1:1-3Β
The blessed man is defined by what he avoids and what he loves. He refuses to take his cues from those who live as though God does not govern all things, and instead delights in the Word of God β meditating on it not as a burden but as a joy. This delight is not the fruit of willpower or discipline, but of a heart transformed by grace, with God's law written on it just as He promised in the new covenant.
The image of a tree planted beside streams of water tells the rest of the story. This tree did not plant itself β it was placed there, drawing life from a source outside itself. So it is with the believer, whose fruitfulness and stability flow not from personal resolve but from abiding in Christ through His Word and Spirit. Psalm 1 ultimately points us to Jesus, the only man who ever perfectly fulfilled this portrait of the blessed life β and it is only by union with Him that we can be numbered among the blessed at all.
